Just curious if you have any suggestions on a good crank radio? I have purchased two different types for severe weather events and one in particular (Red Cross) did not last very well at all.
Batteries may be in short supply after an incident and would like to have a crank backup that will last. Thanks

I particularly like and use this one: the Midland XT511 Base Camp which has AM/FM/NOAA weather bands and also is a two-way FRS/GMRS radio.

Freeplay Energy radios are perhaps the granddaddy of the crank radios (formerly Baygen) and are very well-made. They are HQed overseas and their supply lines over here are inconsistent so we quit selling their product lines. However--if you can get them--I do recommend their quality.
