I just ordered my first "adult" air rifle. I have been wanting one for some time. My new house has too many squirrels raiding my garden :whistling: plus my wife showed an interest so I figured the time was right.

Ordered a Benjamin Trail Nitro piston rifle today from and can't wait for it to get here. I got the .22 version. I am curious if anyone else is shooting a nitro piston rifle? I really like the idea.

I did handle this rifle at a local Gander Mountain but they wanted way too much. I got this rifle plus five tins of pellets plus shipping & handling and still came out $20 cheaper then Gander wanted for just the rifle

That's my next airgun except in .25 caliber. I have a Benjamin Discovery
and a 392, both .22 cal. The Discovery is one of my favorite guns. It's pure
death on small game. At 30 yards, I can put 10 pellets in a nickle size hole.
The 392 is just as accurate but pumping it up 8 times in between shots
will get you to shaking a little before you can shoot 10 rounds.
Pyramid Air is where I got both of mine and will get my Trail NP from them
when I get it. Both my guns like the heavier pellets and I'd bet you'll find
that yours does too. The best I've used so far is the Diablo Exact Jumbo
I'm anxious to try the Nitro Piston. Let me know how you like it.

I just finished break in (100 rounds) and I love it!!! Shooting less then 1/2" at 50' and has slain quite a few pigeons so far. This gun shoots much quieter then a regular spring rifle, has less recoil then a spring rifle and is just fun to shoot.

The base is welded to the rifle, no worries of it coming loose. The scope is very nice, quiet surprised that it came with such a nice scope.

My gun so far shoots best with the RWS Super-H-Point 14.2 grain pellet.

    I've been checking for deals.

I just missed out on a refub Nitro Benji .22 cal for $90 (that is not a miss print)

Monday thru Friday they put up a new deal, some are un-freaking real, some are so so. Read the comments and do your research and you can get a great airgun at more than half-off at least once a week.

I have the Crosman version Titan nitro piston in .22. Great bargain. If you haven't installed a GRTIII trigger from CharlieDaTuna yet, it's well worth the money.
