I seen a couple of the survivors from the barracks bombing back in 1983 at Wiesbaden W.Germany hospital.I was in the army back then and one of my buddies was hit by a german motorist and broke his leg and ended up at the same hospital. I remember seeing the American flags and the Marine flags on all the doors to the rooms of the Marines. I have great respect for them all and well as those still serving.:patriot::patriot::patriot:

I was in 1/8, but did not get there til early 86. Several in my Company were there during the bombing.

Ironically, when we went to the Med, I was on the USS Iwo Jima, LPH-2. It is where many were evac'd to. They had a mural on the wall in the hangar deck, and was quite mooving.
