make absolutely, positively sure the door on you refrigerator/freezer is shut ALL THE WAY.

Just got home after leaving Thursday afternoon and found our freezer door was open about 1/2 inch. If the fridge doesn't get cold within some set period of time the fridge shuts down completely.

We just threw out probably $300 of chicken, pork, beef, various prepared foods. Some stuff saved was still slightly frozen and cold. Some stuff was 65F or higher and got tossed.

When we close our fridge door the compression in the fridge is enough to pop the freezer door open about 1/4 inch. If something in the freezer falls during that moment and gets in front of the door, the door will not close back.

    All the Best,
    D. White

    Sounds like a Frigidaire brand.

    Am I correct?
