    I would suggest upgrading your scope. Leupolds are great and have a wide price range. I am not sure about the new "Rifleman" series as I have not played with one yet, but it has to be better than my 60's vintage 2X7 that still works great! I agree with all of the suggestions above with the exception of the small nylon rope. I have switched to "Muletape". It is used in the electrical instalation community. It is easier to work with in terms of knots and has a higher breaking strength (2500 lbs. vs 500 lbs.). Have fun and ask ton's of questions, it is better to know the answer than guess when hunting.
