Wow, great weather in store for the weekend. Last year there were 150 pre-registrations and 300 total entries for Beckley.

Chris & Cindy left Smyrna this morning with about 215 pre-registrations in hand. Attendance should be high 300's to low 400's. My guess is 430.:wavey:

Hello, I am new to this site but have done a few GSSF matches. I have not been to Beckley yet and want to see if those dirt roads there are OK for a car. I wanted to bring my car for the better gas mileage and am coming up 77 from just below the VA state line in NC. So will someone who has been there tell me if a car is OK on those roads? Thanks.

The road was rough last year but passable for cars. One motor home had problems, And I hear the road is better this year.

When you pass the Shot Tower on-ramp (I77 X24) move to the left hand lane because that will be me barreling up the ramp!

Thank you for your help. I will watch out around that ramp you mentioned.:wavey: How long does it take from that ramp to get there?

I'll be there Saturday morning along with my father. 4 entries for me 3 for dad. We got there in a Toyota Corolla last year, no issues with the road just take your time.
On a side note; Bryan are you going to carry my bags at this one or should I bring the cart??? LOL just kidding my friend, glad to hear you're going to make it. :)

I will be making a nine hour drive or so and will be there for Sunday. I hope it's worth it, because to drive back Sunday after this is not going to be fun. I'm leaving Friday to get to the area for the w-end.

I'd like to make it but I can't; I did so well last year shooting with Mike there's not much left for me to do or prove.

Range road was good this AM, had 3 loads of gravel in the worst areas several wks ago & the grader worked part of it early in the week. Brakes went out on the grader so we didn't get to finish as we'd have liked.

Somebody dug like hell coming up the steep part of the hill this afternoon & tore it up pretty bad. Going in shouldn't be hard on a car if you take it easy. Getting out will be "traction dependent."

Had a great turnout with lots of great people. Ran 3 lines for 5-to-Glock, 2 Glock 'ems, and 2 plate racks. Broke 300 today. We were a little slow getting organized this AM, but ironed out quickly.

    Expecting lots more tomorrow.

    Stay safe.
