I know most if not all of you are sick of these threads, but I'm picking up my first firearm, the glock 26. I turn 18 on the 12th of August and I was originally going to get the gen 4. But now with everyone getting me worried about the ejection problems, I don't know if it's worth it. Should I just hope for the best and get the 4 or just get the 3?

    ,Matt.

FWIW, I plan to get a G26 Gen4 very soon. If mine has problems, I'll simply FIX IT rather than whine on glocktalk.

Well they're also saying that sending it back for fixing isn't working.

Go with the gen 4 if you're getting a 26 both the gen 3 and 4 have the dual rsa. I haven't heard of any problems with the gen 3 or 4 26. With the gen 4 you get the extended mag release and the rtf texturing.

I don't really care what a handful of people are saying. When I first got my G19 Gen4, it had issues with ejection/stovepipes. Sent it to GLOCK for repair. It came back with a new extractor, new ejector and functions great now.

Besides, LATE reports on Gen4 9mm's have been very positive from what I've been reading.

Gen 3 does not have the dual RSA.

I have a Gen 4 19 FDE with a 3/12 test fire date and have had 0 issues. I plan on getting my Gen 4 27 a little brother (G26) and it will be a Gen 4

He's referring to the gen3 G26, which most certainly does have a dual RSA.

Gen 3...why worry about the gen 4 issues if you dont have to?
