Has anyone tried these bullets? I was thinking about ordering some of there .452 280 grain WFN for my .45 colt. They look like they would work well on deer.

There web sight said there maybe delays in shipping due to inventory so I tried calling over the last few days and can not get an answer. I also sent an email and have not received a reply.

Just wanted to see if this is common, maybe there a small shop or something.

Try X-treme Bullets. Good product, quick ship.

I have three boxes of their bullets sitting on my bench, just got them (.452, .400 and .429)

They make a top quality product, that is the good news.

This last order was 5+ months in coming. No communications, no acknowledgement of order received, etc. You just place the order and someday the bullets will arrive.

I think when you do get them, you will be pleased. Until they arrive, perhaps a little less so.

Too many suppliers out there to put up with that kind of service. That's just me.

    Thanks for the help.
Willy, that's what I was afraid of. There bullets look awesome and from what I could find on Google everyone seems to like them.

Are there any other places to buy similar bullets?

I know I could cast my own but that's a lot to get into for just one gun to load for.

Cast performance is another biggie in the hunting bullet business (i.e. Grizzly), last time I checked they were a little more money, but delivery is better I think (certainly can't be worse). I think people in general think the two (BT and CP) are on par performance wise.

You are most welcome. I have a problem with a company that can't even email a customer back. Hope these work ok for you.

Beartooth Bullets are very high quality. I've used their 200gr WFNGC in .401 cal for 10mm auto. It is a hammer! They are spendy, and the shipping is slow since they make them after you order them. I use them for limited volume backcountry carry, so the price isn't that significant of an issue. I would recommend Beartooth.

Beartooth is a smaller operation, but they make a quality product. They won't rush their work at the expense of quality. IMO, it's well worth the wait.

Just wanted to let yall know I got a reply today. It said that they where about 20 weeks behind on there orders. I'm glad to hear from them even though not the best news. I think I will go with the cast performance bullets for now. I still want to give the Beartooth bullets a try, I'll order those later down the road.

    275gr LFN with I believe a .36 or .37" Meplat.

I'd agree, there are still pretty good alternatives. I have heard nothing but good things about Beartooth Bullets, but half a year is a long time.

As a side note, an always-available fallback for you would be the 255gr SWC. Meplats are a little smaller at about .32, but that can be offset with more velocity due to the lighter weight.

Cabelas & others should have the 265 grn 'Cast Performance' .452 bullets in stock. That's what I load for my Ruger Redhawk & Blackhawk. I use Win-296 powder, which I bought before things got tight.
