Do Not Put in any order with this company!!!
    The business is closing!!!

If you have ordered anything from Bear Claw Holsters in the last few months, AND have NOT received your purchase, I urge you to contact the Republic, Missouri Police Department. The business has closed, and the owner is supposedly filing for bankruptcy...

However, if the owner does not file, and takes off the police are working up a potential fraud case.

Apparently the owner was supposed to pull the website offline and stop taking orders; however orders were still being taken. Mine was one of them, so I contacted the Republic PD and was told they are gathering information.

Admin, if this post needs to be moved, or has a better, more visible home, please feel free to move it around. Thanks.

I talked to the owner of this company about a year ago, I was thinking of becoming a dealer with him. I had some bad vibes on the phone while talking with him and went another route.

I was always tempted to order from them. I heard they made some real nice Kydex but the waits were long so I passed. Sorry to hear about the potential fraud. Do they take your money when you place the order?

    Good luck

I ran mine through a card so that I was not just sending a check. So to answer your question, yes they charge it when you order.

I would never pay for any holster upon ordering. Paying when they start to manufacture, yes. There's no way I'll let some clown charge me full price up front in hopes that they will get around to building the product someday, or maybe never.

I have dealt with Milt Sparks several times and have never been charged until holster was done and shipped. The way it should be.

You'd better watch who you deal with then. I feel the same way. I've run into this issue with a well-known vendor on GT. From now on, I'm asking up-front.

i was fortunate to have ordered both a holster and single mag carrier from them before they closed. (just before). I actually recv'd a holster for a k9 instead of an mk9 and sent it back and recv'd proper make in short time. Both products are very well made and I felt I would have made another purchase for their iwb model had they stayed open, but i am disappointed that it did'nt work out as well for others and ended the way it did.

Apparently my order was filled just before the doors closed. I got a single mag holder and a IWB kydex for my Kahr MK40. Very top quality work and really would like to order again. Do not know the particulars of what happened but whoever built my rig is an artist and needs to get back into the business. YMMV
