i think all men should pledge to do this. When your boss asks you why you can explain it to him. When people at work your customers and such ask why you can explain. It will bring awareness to the plight of men just as the pink ribbon has done for women. Well why not?

o ya and where is the best source of lead for casting now that the wheel weights are drying up?

    Sorry, this is dumb.

Athletes do not wear pink shoes, products don't come in pink containers, men do not wear pink bracelets or arm bands. When they do it is obvious WHY.

Athletes grow beards, men grow beards and when they do who cares, it is very common and means nothing unless asked. Who the hell is going to ask, nobody, because it's COMMON place.

What I want to know is where is the national outcry for men & prostate cancer?? No blue shoes month?? Just as many men die of P cancer as women of B cancer. How about some of that liberal fairness huh? Movember is a nice try though.

That's a pretty valid point and I agree.

I've noticed on some of the news programs lately that the insurance/medical industry is telling men that they don't need regular exams again. Happens every few years. and I think they succeed with lots of us. After all, it doesn't take much to convince me to skip the digital/rectal exam.

Highjack alert! Yeah, I have to get an insurance policy that includes women's wellness & maternity but nothing about men's wellness & prostate exams!!! Anyone see another liberal double std here? Obamacare: Shut up & write the check. That is the basis behind it. For all those that voted Obama, shut up & write the MF check!:steamed:

It's covered as wellness on my insurance. You just need to have the doctor office code it right.

Man fred your as pissed as i am. You should have heard him today explaining that everyone that was kicked off their healthcare plan, simply had a junk plan that was detrimental to everyone.

Plus he made his ridiculous assertions in a campaign speech like a coward, Instead of being properly questioned.

My point, it's not explicit as maternity, mamograms, etc. So I have to pay more for ins, we all do, so some lazy non working whatever gets it free thru medicare. This will be an economic disaster of epic proportions going forward. If this doesn't change the minds of the clueless in 14 & 16, nothing will. Time to move to NewZealand.:tongueout:

wow dude your totally out of the loop arnt ya. A man that has been clean shaven at work for years starts to get stubble and no one is going to say anything? I bet the females will be the first to ask. Then the boss will ask. Then everyone in the office will know what its about. Hummmm..... Is that awareness? Nope couldn't be because steve said so. Your dumb.

Wow! I guess I've been standing up for P cancer since 1979, as the facial hair has not been removed since that year. Granted, I do trim both above and below, but....

As far as prostate exams, isn't the Doc "going where no (other) man has gone before" included in the annual physical of your insurance plans? Mine is, and it is not a Cadillac plan.

In my state, growing a beard or any facial hair, means Winter is almost here.

Yep. I rock a beard from September to May because I'm an outdoorsman and it's cold outside during that time. Keeps the face warm.

Yeah. My Dr. just gives me the ole' digital exam at my physical. It's not billed as a separate item...yet. I wonder if she enjoys it as much as I do:whistling:

As for the "testing" that people are probably talking about, I think they mean PSA testing. It's a blood test. There is some debate as to when it should be started (age). I don't know enough about it other than I've seen Drs. on TV argue both sides of it pretty effectively. They are doing the same thing with breast cancer, telling women they don't need a mamogram until they are 90 years old. So, it's not just the prostate issue that is getting busheled off in the insurance. The Feds are the ones pushing the Drs. to stop doing mammograms until women are older.

Now, now there little man. No need to start calling people names. Yes, your Idea is Dumb and will not accomplish a thing.

What about the Women in this Country? Are they not allowed to partake in your Prostate Cancer awareness program.

Or are you asking them to not shave their legs and arm pits to show support?

I'm afraid you will find that "Nothing Will" is going to be the outcome.
I spent a little time listening to the local and nation talks shows over the past few weeks. It appears that the MSM, Hollywood and the Democrats have done a pretty good job of blaming OC's failures on the Republicans.
One host did a "Man-on-the-Street" segment about the problems with OC. It was amazing how many people believe that the Republicans have added all that's bad with OC to sabotage the Great Ones "Affordable Health Care" plan. :steamed:

Oh, and don't forget that Public Employees, Those on Welfare and Union workers are exempt from Obama Care. That right there is enough Democrat votes to take back the House and retain the Senate in 2014 and of course put another Socialist in the WH in 2016.

I haven't shaved since November of 2011, I'm always a step ahead of the game. You really want to get people talking, call it manscape month and post pictures of your creativeness online. Preferably

Rock on with it, it is something that's becoming more and more popular the last few years. The only problem with it is MANY men can not participate. As a volunteer firefighter I could do so but if I do I can't wear respiratory protection which is not a trade I want to make. Paid firefighters would not have the option as would be the case with many police, EMTs, Soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen and lost of people who work at places that have rules about facial hair.

If it's what you want to to do show support go for it, but it's not something we can all participate in.
