List your recommendations for Indiana Barbers here.

    For my own personal interest:
    1. Indy/Greenwood area
    2. Male
    3. old school (not a male hairstylist supreme)
    4. what they charge (are boys cheaper than men cuts?)
    5. other interesting tidbits about the guy/place worth noting

    I do my own.

$4.00 cutters from Harbor Freight, 10 minutes in front of a mirror, and no hair to worry about! :animlol:

I was hoping I could keep SOME hair afterwards.

Corner of Rockville Road and High School on the West side of Indy. Can't remember the name of the place. Gerald Winninger is the owner. Very old school style, very friendly, talkative barbers. It can get crowded sometimes.

So that's what's wrong with your hair. I always wondered.

  6. I've not been there...

BUT, there is an Honest to God barbershop not too far north of County Line Road on SR 135.

It's across the parking lot (to the south) of the Dairy Queen. There's a Crystal Flash on the corner of 135 and Stop 11, then just to the north is a little strip mall containing a Dry Cleaners and the barber shop.

  7. Barbasol and Gillette Mach III Turbo.

If I let the sides grow out I could use the Flowbee. Remember that infomercial!

Ditto Clippers on Rockville & High School. Good crew there, just don't get Chris started on a story.....

Reed's on Madison, just South of County Line in Greenwood. East side of Madison. Little bitty place. Rolf has cut my hair since I was a pup (good grief, 34 years or more?!?!).

I go there also. Good place, but a helluva haul from Greenwood. Do you use any specific barber, or take your chances with whoever is next?

    Bill & Randy's Barber Shop - 3027 Meridian Meadows Rd.

A couple of blocks south of County Line Road on the west side of 135.

As an added bonus: They're both "gun people".

I'm glad I started this discussion.

Keep them coming. For any and all Indiana locations.

Also, who you like best, what you tip, anything special about the place.

There used to be a great little barber shop at english and sherman dr. called Jerri's.It was ran by a very attractive lady and I went there for 10 years or so.I was real pissed when she closed it and disappeared.

There are probably half a dozen old-school barber shops still in operation in Crawfordsville.

I go to Englewood Barber Shop, just outside of town on US136 west.
