Leave that one the way it is and then ....

I would just paint the whole thing. See how cool this looks?

I'd leave it alone, but... if you just have to color it, it'd be a lot cheaper to what the pros do. Spray it. There's several GTers that have done it. I'm sure they can explain the "how to" dos and don'ts.

I sprayed a shotgun, khaki/black twotone. Looks pretty darn good, but I'd just use it as an excuse to build another rifle. SPRs are good candidates for color....

Not an AR, but I did this one myself. If I wanted to color my AR I wouldn't hesitate to paint it myself. It is easy and comes out nice if you take your time.

If you want the paint to be permanent, then I would go with DuraCoat.

If you want it to be removable then you can use Krylon in a spray can.

I think earth tones always look the best. The best colors I think would be Greens, Browns and what ever you see out in your backyard. Your Geographical location would dictate the colors you should use.:dunno:

Do you mean Target indicator Black.

If you wear camouflage and your rifle is Black, wouldn’t it look like rifles were out there floating around by itself. :whistling:

Considering all but one of those SEALs are now dead, I'd say they earned the right to paint their guns long before this thread started.

Did they die in a helecopter crash together or is the survival rate of a SEAL over there that low?

MOE stock, grip, and handguard goes for about $111 + shipping at Brownells.
