I had a compact RIA 1911 loved it, but I hated the looks of it the whole Half a slide worth of Advertisement on the side. It may seem ridiculous, but everytime I looked at that thing I hated so I sold it and bought a glock 19. It isn't a bad gun and never gave me a problem, but I just couldn't get used to it. So I sold it, and today got my Springfield GI, and it will be a project gun. I love that it is a 1911 manufacturer that uses the whole slide to slap their name on the gun. It is slightly used I got a deal on it 400+28 tax. Now I just got to get a holster and mag carrier. List of near future modifications, in the order I plan on doing it: STI Long Carbon Fiber Trigger. (My fingers are too long for the stock trigger) Commander Hammer and S&A Beaver-Tail. Checkered Flat Mainspring Housing. Maybe upgrade the sights, but I've always thought the GI's were accurate. I'll have to borrow my buddies Kimber with Novaks to see if they are worth it. Sorry for the Blackberry Pics (Bac am I doing the Carpet pictures right?): Wanna kill these ads? We can help!
