Just got settled back in at home. I see you guys have gotten to see pretty much everything I was able to as well. Many nice 1911's at the show. I was very impressed with the new DW's and the performance S&W's(which ive never liked before). Alot of the new one's were lacking in various areas. The new Sig's look sharp, but I know better than to buy one. The Enhanced R1 was pretty cool, but just dressed up. Trigger still needs some TLC and parts fitting is not very good. NH had a pretty impressive display when compared to some of the others like (brown, LB).
Honestly it was so much information overload, I dont even know where to start with everything! I got a chance to meet with some very cool people. I spoke with LAV for awhile, Chris Costa, and Steven Seagal. I also got pictures with them which i will get up a little later. The whole LAV/WC story was pretty good hearing it from the horses mouth himself and yes Paul, I questioned his comments about the HK45 and his response is not exactly what I think HK fanboys were wanting to hear.

I also got to speak with Travis Haley for a good 20 minutes about training and the 1911 platform. Let's just say he is full of information and very enthusiastic about the platform. When I mentioned to him that my friend and I were gearing up to take one of the Magpul Dynamics courses though, I got some disappointing news for me-atleast. Travis just left Magpul Ind/Magpul Dynamics to start his own consulting company, so it looks like I will have to be in the professional world before Ill have the opportunity to take a course through him.

Hilton tried, but Im like a ninja. I deflected his punch and tiger paw punched him. His work may become backlogged, but I offered to pay for medical expenses!

  5. Welcome back... So what did he say about the hk45?

He said that he loves the HK45, but words were taken a little out of context when talking about it compared to a 1911. He mentioned that he was referring to these 2 guns for duty use. Mainly because the HK45 is a much easier gun to maintain and keep running then a 1911.

    Travis left Magpul???
    WOW.

But can't say I blame him, if...I am guessing one of the reasons.

Not sure what you are referring to caesar???

From my understanding he left to start is own consulting firm like i mentioned previously. Basically it seems like he is trying to start his own "Blackwater or XE" whichever you prefer. If it is successful, he would make a lot more money then working with Mag Ind. Its upsetting because I respect the hell out of him and would have loved to gain knowledge from him as well as Chris, but he is trying to make himself an even bigger baller apparently!

Im sure you are right. I guess its just hard to imagine one not wanting to be in the limelight. He said he will be still be working with Mag in a consulting role as well for training and product development purposes, So im sure all the fanboys will see more of him.
