I discovered that my G23 seems to shoot and feel better using the Gen 4 recoil spring with the LWD 49-9 barrel than it does with the Gen 3 spring. Also It works just fine using the .40 mags with 9mm bullets. What a pistol.

I don't think that I've shot many guns that don't once in a while eject at the face. I had one to the face this morning in 150 rounds with the G23. My Ruger P345 is the best ejecting gun I have and even it puts one to the face now and then if I shoot long enough.

It's strange, but the Glock 40/357 guns,
with just a 40-9mm barrel and mag,
seem to perform better than they have a right to.

One thing I noticed though..... after I shoot with the conversion barrel and the gen3 type recoil rod assembly....when I field strip it, the recoil rod assy is loose on the barrel. For some reason it doesn't stay in the notch on the barrel. It even fell out one time when I took it down. I have no problem if I'm using the gen 4 recoil rod assembly, it stays in place like it should.

"...the recoil rod assy is loose on the barrel..." The rod fits on the barrel for reassembly only. Once the slide is racked, it will re-position down a little.
