Are there any Legality's regarding the carry of an ASP baton in my car or on my person? While traveling to and from or while walking in the State of Alabama?

    ps

    Section 13A-11-50
    Carrying concealed weapons.
Except as otherwise provided in this Code, a person who carries concealed about his person a bowie knife or knife or instrument of like kind or description or a pistol or firearm of any other kind or an air gun shall, on conviction, be fined not less than $50.00 nor more than $500.00, and may also be imprisoned in the county jail or sentenced to hard labor for the county for not more than six months.

My answer is no. I wouldn't arrest. If you carried it in the open, it wouldn't be concealed.

Guess you're lucky that Alabama [apparently] isn't like Texas. Here, it would be UCW and you would be arrested.

  7. Yeah, but this Texan would rather carry a more formidable and legal weapon, a cane.

This came up two nights ago at work. The offender in question was a total *** (makes a big difference on whether to charge someone or not, especially on little things). Even with that considered Of the people involved, only 1 wanted to charge, 1 wanted to confiscate, Sarge, myself, and 4 others all said "that's some dumb, nitpicky ****" and just put it in his property.

YMMV depending on jurisdiction and other factors.
