After taking him for a walk this morning, I made him climb the stairs leading to our apartment's door.

I love dogs too, they taste better than chicken.
    DUCK...here comes the flames.

I'd like to get a dog but it's so hard here. Daig pa ang bata sa alaga. Buti pa goldfish na lang.

When I was growing up, we always had a dog or five around the house and I am forever grateful to all of them for the lessons I learned.

But as much as I want one now, I don't think I will have time to take care of it. Not to mention that our subdivision has a very strict covenant on when and where a dog can bark to the extent that my neighbors had to have their pets' vocal cords snipped.

Now tell me, how can you do that to a dog....what is a dog if it can't bark to annoy its owners.

Maybe in ten years time, I can buy my dream country home with a 3 acre backyard. Then I will get a GSD or a rottie...

I had a dog once in my youth, a half-breed of German shepherd and askal. Quite big and I was able to teach it a trick or two. I cried when she died of old age.

Now, I also don't have time and space to get another one but once I've settled in the Philippines I would certainly get me at least one rottweiler or doberman.

I keep dachshunds, usually two at a time. They are small, require little maintenance, are excellent guard dogs, extremely fierce to intruders (dachshunds were bred to fight badgers, which are 2-3 times their size), are very smart, and very loyal.

They can be rather mayabang, though, and are not that malambing.

My best one is called "Purefoods".

My German Shepherd "Kaiser" who died 3 months ago. Miss him so. I'm finding a replacement but I like one that's at least a year old so I don't need to raise one from puppyhood :)

O, tactical yang aso ko! Kita niyo naman ang camouflage niya, almost perfectly blended sa carpet.

Siya nga pala si Warren ang aking anak na lalaki. Mahilig din siya sa 45s :)

i've always had a cat since i can remember. her name was "goldilocks" owing to the color of her fur. she gave us several generations of "nanay cats" and kutings throughout our 20-year stay in Paco, Manila. the last of her great grandsons died when we moved to Malate but we bred a new generation of strays and to this day, the house in Malate is home to 5-cats. i've also had bunnies, hamsters, several goldfish, a "pipit", a dove, guinea pigs and a turtle. imagine if they all survived--geez!!! the turtle's still around though with my brother in law.

now that i live in Makati, i still attract stray cats. i have a kitten whom i've named, "Snarly" since that's the response i always got from him during his first few days in the house.

i also have a knife i've been carrying for the last 14 years--her name is "Leslie". ;N
