As promised for N2xtrm: 220 Complete

Discussion in 'Reloading' started by labdwakin, Aug 30, 2011.

  1. Ken was kind enough to send me some brass for this beast with the promise that he'd get to see it when it was done... not great pictures, but decent.

It's a 220 Swift on a 98 Mauser action. Boyd featherweight thumbhole stock, Bold trigger, Dayton Traister low scope safety, 26 inch BBL, and has a Nikon 6-18x Buckmaster on it. I'm kinda proud of my little toy!

That's not a beer gut in the lower right hand corner of the first pic, is it?

  3. Absolutely not... it's from biscuits and cheesburgers... what you take me for? A total flatlander? I DO live in the Ozarks... sheesh!

Looks great. Love that stock. I got to build a 220 swift one day.

I never did congratulate you on that rifle. I think you'll have a blast with it. Varmints beware!

Give us a load / range report.

Nice rig. I miss my 220 swift, should never have sold it. If I went to a fast stepping 22 again, it would probably be a 22-250AI, I'm just weird that way.
Speaking of new rifles, Steve, how is that 338-06 coming along?

I didn't know convicted felons were allowed to own guns. :dunno:

  9. Doc, I don't have a wife... I'm a bed hog. And I'm no more a convicted felon than you're a regular Rico Suave`, Jack!
