Hey Glockers! I just picked up one of these out of curiosity. It is a very sturdy design and locks up tight when installed. It came with an U-tool, extra power spring, and the extension (which is in 2 pieces). I love that it makes my 15 round mag into a 21 round mag and fits very flush with the end of the grip. Anyone have any experience with these? How have they held up for you?

  2. I have 4 of these that I use in my Glock 35. I use them in USPSA competition. They have never skipped a beat. I highly recommend them.

Excellent. Good to know. Thank you. I find that I can't load all 21 rounds right now because it is stiff as all hell. I am going to let it sit a week with like 20 in there to loosen it up a bit.

I hear a lot of good things about these.

  6. You're trying to get 21 in the mag? That's going to be impossible, no matter how long you let it sit.

What you have is a +5 extension plus the 15 your oem mag is designed for.

You'll be able to have 21 in the gun if you top it off, but you'll only have 20 in the mag.

They are good to go. Many officers use them for duty and they have been extensively tested by our range staff. Just pricey :)

Sent from my iPhone... which probably auto-corrected something wrong

LMAO, well that will teach me to listen to watch Amazon.com says! When I ordered it, it says +6 9mm hahahaha. Twenty (20) it is!

  9. I just looked a little closer at the pic of your gun. When I first looked, I figured it was a 22.

You are right, the Arredondo's are +5 for 40/357 and +6 for 9mm.

The only way you're going to get 15 + 6 in your Glock 19's mags is to use a loader like the Uplula.

I want one for my G20sf...just worried how it will look. They are rather expensive.

I love mine. Got it texture matched to the gun. I use it as a spare and keep it loaded with 200gr FMJ's.

Looks OK...4 extra rounds in the second mag sounds tasty. Nice job matching the mag to the grip!

5 rounds, bud! 4 rounds if used in a .45 mag. Flawless. I was skeptical, but it delivers. Not for CC. It spends 99% of it's time in the truck, but sometimes it needs to be carried.

The +6 is designed around a G17 magazine. With the extra spring jammed in the shorter G19 you may only get +5. Still a huge increase.

I have 3 of them for my G21 - I am very happy with them - been using them so long that when I put a "normal" mag in the G21 it looks strange to me. I have a Streamlight on my G21 and the mag extension seems to help the balance. :whistling:

If you want extra rounds in your G19 why not just get a G17 mag with a Glock +2 base plate.

or go long with a 33 round G18 mag.

Or at least use the Arredondo extension on a G17 mag.

    :dunno:

    resurrecting an old 2012 thread.....

The Arredondo mag extension is very durable in rough service. It survived my drop test without damage. The test is a free-fall drop of 6 feet to a carpeted floor repeated ten times with the mag loaded to capacity (dummy rounds). This is one of the very few non-factory mag configs I'm comfortable using for duty service with the G30 45ACP pistols we own.

thanks for feedback. I understand that the outer dimensions are essentially the same for all calibers, it is the capacity that varies based on the caliber?

I've been using them for several years. They work great in 9mm Glocks. The G21 extensions however had too many issues to trust. The rounds would nosedive inside the mag. I even tried stronger Wolff springs. Weird too because the Arredondo 45 extensions work fine with my double stack Para mags.

I also recently picked up a couple of Taran Tactical's extensions. Only one range trip so far but they worked without a hiccup.
