Maybe, but I see them for sale all the time and at no premium price.

I'd take that thing to the range and see how rarely it FTF's. :)

I'd be thanking dad big time.

    Ah ha!
    Thanks RED64CJ5.
I have had the pleasure of firing this particular pistol since 1994. Never has it FTF or FTR. It was given to me earlier this year.
    Thanks again.

Gen2 G19's were in production for about 10 years, so none would be rare. Mine is a 1996 model.

Mine is also a 96 model, I've had it about 7 years,so I guess that makes it reliable. She's by my side as we speak.

I bought one from a guy in Los Angeles who bought it new with hi-cap magazines shortly after the Rodney King riots. That was back when hi-cap mags were legal in California (can you believe it). Doesn't make it rare, but I think it gives the gun a little history, which is cool in my opinion.

Here in CA, 2nd gen G19's usually sell for $400-$450 and asking price is around $500-$525.

  9. I'm a fan of the pre-rail G19. So to me they are rare in that I don't see them for sale much.
I still have 7 or 8 mags from my first G19 (got 'em before they were banned in CALI, as well)

I have one in "like new" condition I would gladly trade straight up for a similar Gen3 G19.

Do pre 94' glocks have any more value in ban states? I got one yesterday that I have already changed the sites and cleaned very well. Looks to be in great shape. Just curious is they were worth more CA or NY.
