I just received a custom engraved cover plate and realized I have no idea how to take the old one off and put the new one on! It's a colt ar if that helps any!

  2. Remove the c-clip, note how spring is installed, pull pin out, remove old cover, install new cover with spring, replace pin, replace c-clip.

What is the best way to remove that small C-clamp without losing it?

    Small hemostats?

Just been warned that those little C-clips disappear easy!!!

Just don't want to have to remove four FF tubes and barrel nuts to swap out those ejection port covers.:steamed:
