To those dealers that are taking a mag out of the box and reselling it claiming that Glock only ships one mag.

Those stores that are doing that should be posted here and never bought from again. It's one thing to mark a price up... it's another to try and shaft the customer then blaming it on GLOCK.

Good to hear that glock sent this out. Also, I haven't bought a gen4 before, I had no clue they came with 3 mags instead of 2.

  5. This happened to me a while ago. Dealer opened for me a Glock case on the counter with a nice gen4 g23 in it, but I only saw two mags. I asked him where the third mag is located at. He said, no, there is no third mag. I then showed him the label on the Glock case which clearly says, "3 13 RD" he looked on the floor for a second and brought me a third mag. I will never forget his face, he looked like a little boy who just stole an lollypop. He also reminded me of Vlatimir Putin with his sneaky facial expression sometimes.

I think making a list of dealers doing this is a fantastic idea- call them out publicly.

I had a LGS try that with a Ruger LC9 when they first came out (which comes with 2 mags). Dealer said they only come with 1. I didn't buy the gun from him. For what ever reason, I wound up not buying an LC9 at all from any GS.

Well, what do you know, I guess I do have good ideas and posts that aren't ignored every once in a while lol. Any mods or members more senior than me care to get the party started?

There was a guy that posted recently that he had bought a gen 4 that should have had 3 hicap mags and came with 2 10 rounders, he was asked the name of the LGS but he wouldn't give it up. This would stop me from buying from them ever again. I would like to see Glock start pulling dealerships and posting the names of the thieves that are stealing from the customers. Like they are not already overcharging for everything now anyway. I know there are a few good ones left but most are pure crooks.

That missing hicap mag was a standard condition during the 1994-2004 ban period on police trade-ins and NIB Glocks. It was an easy trap to tempt gunshops.

William Buckley once gave this analysis of the problems facing Socialism and Capitalism:

The problem with Socialism IS Socialism. The problem with Capitalism is CapitalISTS!

I picked up a blue label G21 Gen 3 from my favorite gun shop last week. It came with 3 high capacity mags (like it should).

However, when I asked about additional magazines, he said that they had raised their prices from $25.00 to $50.00 each at the first of the year.

    :steamed:

    Very disappointing...

I am new to this, I just bought my first Glock 23 today.
What do you mean by blue label? How do I know what Gen mine is? It has a red label that says FXD 5.5 lb. and below that it says 3 13RD and it did come with three 13 rd. mags. It was brand new but the trigger lock wasn't in the box, but I didn't notice it until I got home with it.

Blue label is for Law Enforcement purchases.

If you are not then it is probably a Gen 4.

Does it say "Gen4" on the slide?

They also have replaceable/adjustable backstraps and a dual spring recoil guide rod system

Mine does not say Gen 4 on the slide, and it does have the finger grips so it apparently must be a Gen 3....correct?

But as I stated earlier mine came with three thirteen rd. mags.

It is good to see Glock taking the time to address this problem. It is really shady of dealers to take advantage of their customers like this. I would suggest that we do keep a thread of these dealers so that others can be aware. I don't think they would like to lose their relationships with Glock as Glock is a very large gun company and this could hurt their sales, especially if they are in the business of selling to law enforcement.
