Anyone out there have a Total Gym? Christie Brinkley is looking hotter than ever, so there must be some merit to this contraption! Opinions anyone?

I have one (wife actually). It's versatile and very smooth...a decent piece of equipment for the money.

But, on it's highest/most difficult setting it uses something like 60% of your bodyweight...so I would suggest getting the model that allows you to add weight plates for additional resistance.
    Best.

    Ditto FiveO's comment

I bought one in March from Ebay store, and use it regularly. I combine it with free weights.

It is good for keeping toned, and muscular, but not good if you want to bulk up.

It really is a fun machine to use, does all different routines.

Here locally you can buy them at Dick's Sporting Goods. You might want to go check one out before you buy.

I don't get over to this forum often enough! LOL

I have had a Total Gym for about 10 years, and it is now the only apparatus I use.

Have a look at their website, they have several models, very usefull accessories, and other good stuff:

I have one. Been using a Bow Flex for about 12 years and the box that
holds the rods busted. Bow Flex fixed it (great service dept) but
took some time to send me a new box so I picked up a Total Gym
2000 off Craigs List and found that I really liked it. I was surprised at how
sore I was and the intensity of the workout I got. You can go from one
exercise right into the next and the next and the next w/o having to change
anything. Easy to get a real burn with it. I fixed my Bow Flex, but I may
be upgrading and using the Total Gym more. My wife really likes it too.
