Just wondered if anyone on duty that day is wearing them.
I'm off that day, but it's specificaly authorized by policy.
I'm off too but it is authorized. Some people forget. When I work I don't.
Not authorized for wear here on 9/11 yet, but the weeks not over so we'll see.
Just got the word, we are wearing them on 9/11.
They don't even mention it here. But I wear it anyway.
I don't think we can where I am at.
Theoretically an email has to come out to authorize it here but on 09/11/01 I started wearing mine. I remember my Sgt. telling me the cheif hadn't put out an email yet. I looked at him and told him I would proudly take the write up. He sent me to the fabric store for black elastic and had me put it on roll call.
While not specifically authorized, I don't think my chief nor sergeant will have any issues with us banding the badges that day.
We would have to wear badges for that to happen.
I am retired but if I was still active I would wear the morning band. The flag in from of my house will be at half mass. Some Americans sometimes forget 9-11 but us LEOs.
I sent an email because of this thread and got them authorized.
I was thinking on the sleeve or something. And, it would have be a local institution authorisation.
We are wearing mourning bands. It was mandated by our chief. I also think that we might be turning on lights and siren for 1 minute at 1300. A neighboring dept is doing it. Haven't heard the official word on it yet.

I'm working Sunday so will most certainly wear, as will everyone I'm sure.
