Just share your snaring stories if you have any. I'm kinda of curious to try snares on small game. (To test out survival techniques.) Pictures more than welcomed!

  2. I've used victor 1 1/2 leg hold snare swith poor to fair results. Caught a few coons and mainly possums using cat food or tuna for bait. I've built some man made snares for squirrels using the Army Ranger FM survival manual with zero results.

It's a challenging feat and if I had to rely on the food I caught with my snares I would .....pretty much die ;)

  3. I have used snares on rabbits with good success and deadfall traps on squirrels and rodents, etc with good results. I think that the main thing is to have lots of traps out in an effort of evening the odds. There are of course always the little things that make all the difference, a very few of wich I know, and many others that I think can only be learned through practice. --just my .02--tyger
