    Howdy,
Does anyone have experience with this product? Seems nice but the freeware version doesn't deep scan the registry or remove all items.
Probably should do seperate thread but does anyone have any experience with Commodo Registry Cleaner. After using everything I have it still finds 500 or so items to fix with 200 or so items that you shouldn't mess with. It creates a restore point prior to fixing, which is lucky as both times I've used it it eats the MS defrag and help functions (XP Home SP3).
    Thanks for any responses.

I'd recommend CCleaner. It's not as harsh as some programs on the registry cleaning, and it's great at cleaning up junk files. AdvancedSystemcare's other functions don't seem to be entirely useful to me...I'm not real big on all-in-one software, I believe in tools focused on addressing a single issue.

    CCleaner for cleaning.
    Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware for anti-malware cleaning
    Auslogics Disk Defrag for defragging.

Thanks for your response and opinion. I've been using CCleaner for awhile now with spybot and defraggler. Wanted something to dig deeper into the registry and get rid of the old junk.

In my opinion, the benefits of "deep cleaning" your registry are outweighed by the risks. The performance gained is negligible.

Advanced Systemcare 3 is the new version of what was Advanced Windows Care. I've been using it for a year or so with no issues. In fact, it includes optimizations and spyware immunizations that are not part of CCleaner. I recommend it.

Do you really think so, I do think the risks are intimidating?

    Hello jferrante,
Thanks for your response. I'd never heard of it before, tried the beta and thought that all the features were handy. Hasn't caused any obvious problems as yet except for installing a start up that wasn't shown in it's own startup manager.
Thank you Gentlemen for your replies.
