anyone serve in the Army Security Agency (ASA)?

  1. Did you serve in the ASA? I served from February 1968 to November 1971. Most of that time (Dec 68 - May 71) I was a 98C30 (traffic analyst) at Karamursel Air Force Base in Turkey (TUSLOG Det 4-4). I'll post details in another post.

    Please share your ASA experiences.

    I served with ASA 1960-1963 at Ankara, Turkey(det 27) and TRRS(Petaluma, Ca). Loved TRRS.

    Served with the 6913 Electronic Security Squadron (USAF), Flak Kaserne, Augsberg FRG 1983 - 1986. They were talking about moving the unit to Hahn AFS back then, don't know if they ever did though.

    I was a 98GL2FR. In Thailand from January '69 thru September '71. Stationed in Bangkok at first (83rd RRSOU), then went east, to Ubon, which was Det J (later changed to Det C, I think).
