It seems like a good deal if you have a family or multiple lines, but for us single people it is going to cost me about an extra $30 per month.

Ill just switch back to tmobile and pay what I pay for now.

    See ya verizon.

Huh? I pay AT&T for 5, count 'em, 5 cell phones. Nobody seems to have a stinkin family plan. I'll check into Verizon

I wanted to add a line to my tmobile account and they wouldn't let me without upgrading it to a family plan and then that would start me into a fresh '2 year' agreement.

    F that.

I supply the phone and still get burned out of an upgrade i've been working towards - not cool.

I am working that phone around on no-contract carriers now, when I find one i'm happy with t-mobile can take their service and.....

    I'm right here.
Thus the whole point that Verizon is making these changes.

AT&T has family plans too. ?

It looks like I would be paying an extra $40+ a month. I'm gonna stick with my current plan for now.

Keep in mind these plans are optional. You can stay on the old pricing (with the exception of unlimited data). The only way you will be forced to move to the new pricing is if you add a NEW line of service or begin a NEW account.

No need to run to t-mobile.

I have unlimited data and I use between 3-4 gigs a month.

So based upon my talk, text and data usage going with tmobile means I keep paying what I am paying now versus paying verizon an additional $30 months for the same usage.

I'm bailing on verizon when my contract is up.

I am eligible for a new phone in November, and contract with Verizon is up in February. Sprint is looking more and more attractive with their unlimited mobile to mobile for ANY cell phone, and unlimited data. 69.99. I get a corporate discount too with Verizon and Sprint......I pay 75 a month now for 450 anytime minutes, unlimited texting and data (grandfathered in on that).

Watch and read these, but pop a BP pill first:

I'll probably switch over. The share everything plan looks like it could save me $5-15 per month depending on how big a bucket of data I choose. I purposely wait to download apps when I'm on wifi and judging by our use, we could get away with 1gb.

We have all been hearing about tiered data plans for over a year now, VZ is just the first major carrier that anyone cares about to make the move. Don't count on so many of these other carriers not having the same plans rolled out in a few months.

Itll probably save me $30 or so a month - about 10-15%, as soon as AT&T goes to it.
