In these uncertain times, for our gun rights, I was just wondering if any of my fellow GTers are having any regrets about having a CCW permit?

No, I'm not kidding. I'm just saying with all the uncertainty and I read a lot on here that people don't trust anyone. Open carry is legal in my state. Even though I prefer CC its not absolutely a must. I wasn't saying that I'm against SD or guns. I'm just not as comfortable about having my gun owner status known at the local level. Seems like, if worse case scenario happens, and any items are confiscated then they have a nice compiled list to start with on a door to door search.

    You have to be joking.

Now there are even more threats against your life and safety. It's even more important now.

Why do you think so many more people are getting them recently.

Why would anyone have any regrets?

No regrets at all. My wife and I just got our call from the Sheriff's office today, getting our official license tomorrow.

I'm just taking a stab here but I think he might be inferring that the gov now knows you own a weapon should any confiscation occur.

In AZ it is now legal to carry concealed without a CCW however it does help bypass some ATF hoops.

I do have my AZ CCW and have no regrets but we don't register specific weapons on our license here either.

Confiscation won't occur, there aren't enough funeral homes for that many confiscators.

With private sales its possible that you can own a gun without ever filling out a background check. So in essence, you only have to be on a compiled list if you choose to be.
