Hi all, don't post much around here but I do love me some 1911s. Been looking for a good Commander sized 3.9" to 4 1/4" for carry purposes. After looking at the newish Magnum Research Desert Eagle 1911 commander out of Israel I was curious if they were worth the money. Around $700 to $800 new.

I have narrowed my search down to a Springer LW Champ and an STI Guardian and then I saw these... http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=232797924

Thanks in advance for any helpful info

Someone posted about it recently and seemed to like it quite a bit. If you don't mind the rollmark, the DE is a great gun for the cash and the 1911c would be a solid carry gun.

Wonder if they were able to use the same size font as the 5". :whistling:

I bought my DE1911C this past February at the Irving, Texas gun show. I've only fired about 150 rounds through it so far, but have not experienced any issues with it yet. It's well had, tight, and accurate, hitting about 1.75" POA for me @ 25 yards. I paid about $670.00 OTD for mine, and noticed the same dealer has raised the price $20.00 since buying mine.

They're nice pistols, and, except for the billboard, I really like the looks of the line. And Nick, I do believe the font is the same on both models.

Who cares about the billboard. It's gonna be in a holster so one will see it anyway.

No, but I love the full size version.

Its one of the best 1911s in its price range.
