I didn't know about this round until I read through the Hornady 9th Edition manual.

It looks like a screaming round out of an AR-15 platform. I mean, 30 caliber 110's @ 3000 fps and 150 grain bullets at 2600 fps. What's not to like?

Anyone have a rifle and/or load for this round?

Uh, yeah. This could be moved to the reloading room without objection...

Never seemed to catch on. There seems to be quite a bit more availability of rifles, uppers and ammo out for 6.5 grendel vs the 30AR. If I would be in the market for an AR with more balls than the .223 for deer I would mos tlikely go with the grendel or even the 6.8. The .30AR reminds me of the wssm cartridges.

Another bad ass .30cal AR round is the .30 OSSM. Even more scarce than the .30AR but will launch a 150gr bullet close to the velocity a 30-06 will. A 110gr bullet a little under 3500fps. The .30 OSSM is based off the winchester WSSM case.
