I'm in the market for a 22" monitor and I just looked at one at CompUSA. It claims to have a 3000:1 ratio and a 2ms refresh time.

I don't know monitor specs but this sounds almost unbelievable when comparable Viewsonic and Samsung are 800:1 and 5ms.

Just curious if they are as good as their specs claim or if it is hype.

in general, LG makes good hardware/electronic devices.

a hotel I regularly stay in put 43" High Def flat panel screens in all the rooms. LOVE EM.

my cellphone is an LG...works great.

sorry I can't be more specific to your monitor in question.

Thanks, I'm sure they are good monitors, I just don't know if they are as good as their specs say they are.

I have 42in LG plasma and it is an excellent set. I have had it slightly over a year and no problems. (knock knock)

I also believe LG to be of high quality.

But to answer your specific question ("is the mfr pulling my leg on specs?"), I'm going to suggest you use Google and put the model number and the word "review" in your search window.

Hopefully someone will have reviewed that particular model monitor and the info will be helpful to you.

Sorry, but that is the best suggestion that I can make for you . . . I've also seen these huge number claims and don't know if they are legit or not.
