Anyone Know Anything About Advanced Gun Works?

Discussion in '1911 Forums' started by GVFlyer, Dec 28, 2010.

  1. The guy who built it certainly does seem to have good credentials.
It is a beautiful gun. Don't know much else about it.
Can't tell anything without any markings being visible on the frame or slide.
I'm sure it is top of the line quality from what they describe of it.

No first hand experience, but I've read up on them before. They look like great quality, reasonably priced custom 1911s.

I don't know anything about them, but it sure looks good.

  4. I don't know anything about them but I have also seen them at Cabelas and was wondering about them. The one I looked looked real good. Looks like it is put together real nice. The shop that builds them is not to far from my house in Roanoke TX.

The frame is marked "AdDVANCEDGUNWORKS LLC. ROANOKE. TEXAS". I wonder where they get their frames?

I was able to get my paws on one before they were finished. Seemed a little sloppy (slide to frame play, bushing to barrel, and trigger). Maybe the parts hadn't been fit yet. I believe he told me Caspian parts were being used.

$2K seems pretty reasonable for a custom gun.

It is, especially one as good as they appear to be.
