I am thinking of getting a 9mm and am torn between a couple choices... I have heard stories of people having issues with 9mm 1911's, so I thought I would see if anyone had any experience with the Aegis, and what you thought about it...

    Thanks in advance...

I've fondled one and it feel exactly like my Pro Carry 2 except for thinner grips. My PC2 in 9mm is one of the best shooting guns I have.

My advice would be to look to the EMP. I have fondled a few and shot an upgraded one. I didnt cary for the stock ones. Didnt feel great in my hand and did not care for the GI style safety. The upgraded one was awesome to shoot and felt good in the hand, but was barely a Kimber anymore. It was decked out with C&S parts and also jacked the already pricey price up more.

I may have to give the PC some more consideration then...

    rsxr,

I was thinking of an emp, but want to stick with Kimbers right now...

I see. I just thought you would have better luck with a platform that was more tailored to the round.

I appreciate that... I was in now way implying that the EMP wasn't a good gun by any means... I was just hoping to find a Kimber in 9mm that would be just as reliable and functional... The EMP is definitely on my list of guns to get...

If you have small hands go ahead and get the Aegis. I like the feel of the PC2 better. Just my opinion.

I have a Kimber Stainless Custom Target II in 9mm and it shoots lights out and has ran 100%. I would probably go with the EMP over the Aegis as a CC gun though. But, if you like the Aegis, you'll be getting a great gun. I just prefer the looks of the EMP over the Aegis.

I bought one when the 3" Aegis was the only model offered. It's run 100% and is very accurate. It's one of my favorite 1911s and for me, a 3" barrel chambered in 9mm makes more sense than in .45ACP, especially with an aluminum frame.

My Kimber Tactical Pro 9mm runs perfectly with any brand of ammo or magazine I have tried.

I have an Ultra Aegis and like it quite a bit. The only problem that I've had is with the mags. The follower doesn't hit the slide stop very well and won't lock back on an empty mag. A little tweaking of the follower was all that was needed to fix the problem though.

I have a Custom Aegis and it runs great. No complaints at all.
