anyone have a cream puff load?
After years of inviting the Little Woman to shoot with us, and her ALWAYS declining
...she decided to join us on the back forty this week ...:milestone:

some basic training with an airsoft pistol on safety, hold, sight and trigger fundamentals and off we went

Problem is, I have no small caliber handguns.
Even though she shot my 45's and was delighted with her ability to hit what she was aiming at, I know she'll enjoy shooting more with a less hefty blast and recoil.
a 22cal pistol is in the near future.

However, I do want her to practice regularly with the Glock as well.

What I'm looking for is the lightest load that will reliably cycle the slide.
I'm hoping someone has loaded low enough to give me a starting point to save some trial and error.

The lightest bullets I have on hand are 185gr.
    Choice of powders I have on hand;
    Bullseye
    WIN 231
    TiteGroup
    Unique
    Power Pistol
    WIN 296

If you have a cream puff using another powder/bullet combo, that would be welcome as well

    Thanks

    Try a 200-gr FMJ over 4.0-gr of Titegroup.

I don't reload .45 any longer.....however I do have some fave light factory loads:
185gr Winchester Whitebox, 185gr Hornady XTP, and the 160gr CorBon DPX all feel really 'soft' to me. Normal 230gr ball is unpleasant for me for plinking/target shooting in many .45s.
