Anyone seen the new Forty Eight? I am liking the look of that bike!
Nope. Always wanted one for years before SOA. I bought mine in early 2009 after season 1 had aired, but I had never even heard of the show 'til season 2. Turned out my dream of owning a Harley cost me my ability to walk. ****** bag in a jeep cherokee turned in front of me back in October 2010. Dude didn't even have insurance and had a license plate that wasn't even registered to the vehicle. Said the usual... "I just didn't see you." It was 1:30pm in the afternoon and a bright clear day on a flat straight stretch of road. Damn... I miss riding, though.
Oh... and yes. The Forty-Eight is a good lookin' ride.
Nope, my honda is paided off. No need for a new bike , much less a overpriced one.
Great show! The Hells Angels thread made me think of SoA. It is a loooong wait 'til the new season comes out.
I never owned a Harley, but I sold my V-Star last March. For me the reality of riding was not as glamorous as I thought it would be. Having to lug a helmet and gear around, butt sweat, or freezing, not being able to haul anything... so many DOGS around here, I don't know how I kept from hitting one and wrecking.
That being said... I can see how people really enjoy it, and there is an undeniable coolness factor.
It's still a Sportster. Even on SOA you see few, if any, Sportsters. No self respecting gang member would ride a Sportster.
Isn't the Dyna the official bike of the SoA?
NOPE, My triumph runs circles around those Harleys. Who would want to pay that much for a loud and slow bike.
Never watched the show.
Been riding for 4 years now, I ride a Suzuki Marauder.
I bought it cash and have put a lot of miles on it.
I'll probably not buy a harley, my next bike might be a dual sport or an sv650, or maybe even a Triumph Speed Triple if I get a better job.
After working on them all day, every day... No thanks. you would be surprised at how much half-assed stuff I see that comes from the factory. If I was to ever get one, it would be a older street glide.
Outdoor Hub mobile, the outdoor information engine
Nope. I like my bikes with more power and less......................vibrations. But Harley does sell a ton of bike to guys just like you that are looking for that "image." Not sayin' all Harley riders do it to "belong" but you know the guys I am talking about.............
No official bike. They mostly tend to ride Dynas in the show, though.
Did you know that 95% of all the Harleys ever made are still on the road?
The other 5% made it home. I'll stick with my rice-burners. Eric
I went for a test ride on one..very underpowered. Ride one first. The V-Rod on the other hand was a blast. Still over priced.
Nope, just like the Sopranos, another show that tries to make you have sympathy for or empathize with absolute bottom of the barrel scumbags. I wouldn't want to be anywhere near someone like the chodes on SOA.
Don't care about their love stories, heartbreaks, hard times and the "glimmer of hope and goodness that resides in each of them". Straight sleaze just like the Sopranos.
No desire to ride a bike on the road anyway so that's a moot point.
If I had to do it over again, I would have got a Yamaha V-Star. I admit, at first I got caught up in the "Harley" craze. Don't get me wrong.... loved my Harley, but after riding a while I realized I could have got more for my money.
No single motorcycle does everything well, and there's a place for all of them. HH
No matter what You got to admit it's a great show!!
I didn't want to be the one to bring it up, but since somebody brought up the Sopranos...
What would happen if the SoA met the Sopranos??? Yes I realize one is in California and the other is in New Jersey so they would be unlikely to cross paths (given the fact they are both fiction) but if they did battle OMG.
