I have been looking at (ok, drooling over) the G36 and was wondering if anyone carries one? I am looking at IWB or SOB for daily carry. I want the good, bad, and ugly of this gun y'all.:dunno:

    Hey Michiglocker,
I have a G36 and I like it really well. It is defnitely going to have a different feel than most others out there, due to its size. 1. being slightly slimmer than the other Glocks out there and 2. recoil, it will have slightly more recoil it seems than its larger .40 and .45 counter parts, 3. it having a shorter barrell. It only holds 6 in the mag, so if quanity in your mag is important, than this one is not for you. Pearce does offer an extension that will allow you to add either 1 or 2.
I just ordered a set of Trijicon night sights for mine. I do not like the white [_] rear sight that comes stock on it. So I am upgrading. It is small so, it is easy to conceal either on a hip or ankle unlike some of the other guns out there. This is my opinion. There are definitely lots of others out there, so study up and stop by your local gun shop and get one in your hand instead of taking my or someone else's word for it. I was looking for a smaller Glock when I purchased mine. When I got it in my hand, I said this one is for me. It is a perfect fit, if it were any shorter, I would not like it at all.
    Be safe and God Bless.

My 36 is my daily carry. I forget it's even there in my Garrity Incognito (www.garritysgunleather.com). I personally don't like IWB so I removed the belt loops and carry the G36 OWB with the Garrity Incognito (belt slots are cut into the rig). The 36 is accurate, reliable, packs a solid punch and is small/light enough that it's always with me. I carry 1 spare mag typically and I feel sufficiently armed for most forseen encounters.

    Best of luck.

    Marshall,
That is an awesome looking setup. I am going to have to check those Garrity's out. That is definitely one of the better looking ones I have seen.

I ended up buying a G30sf and a Fobus GL4. Love the 36 but love 10+1 more than 6+1 so I gave up a little bit of littler for more BANGS per mag. Thanx for all the input, the Garrity looks great!

I have a G36 that I carry most of the time. I usually carry it in a belt holster. I have just ordered a new iwb holster for from AKJ concealco www.concealco.com you might want to check them out. I buddy at work has one of their rigs that I liked so I ordered one for me.

G36 in a Comp-Tac Two O'Clock IWB or Comp-Tac Paddle, depending on the dress.

I carry a G36 IWB and it carries great.. I tried the G30SF and felt like I was carrying a brick.. The G36 is perfect for CCW with an extra mag.

Exactly... I couldn't believe the workmanship in this holster at such an affordable price.

I hope I like the AKJ I just ordered. The quality I have seen from them is impressive.

I love my G36. Carry in a galco nsa iwb, and galco cop light/mag carrier
on offside. Wears sweet, carries light, slim as a 1911, and great reliability.
What's not to love? Especially with a set of trijicons and seven hydra-shoks ready to go.
As for round count, who would have said a guy with an officers model colt
and a spare magazine was undergunned?

I carry my G36 IWB around 4:00. Depending on outfit I either use an MTAC or a cheap, thin $9 softside.

I am not a real big guy (5-7, 150lbs), and I like clothes that fit and yet the G36 still conceals quite well.

Someone up top said something about a G23 - I own a G23 as well as a G19 and I can tell you with absolute certainty that the G36 conceals IWB better than the 19/23 does. Yes the G36 is thinner BUT the frame is also shaped different which allows it's lines to "disappear" better.

Will a G36 print? Absolutely. Is it easier to keep a G36 from printing than a lot of other guns? Yes.

And if you are worried that 7 rounds of 230gr +P isn't enough ammo my suggestion would be to tear up your CCW permit and go learn how to shoot.
