    Hello,
I am deciding between buying projection tv, plasma or projector. Anybody can tell me about major cons n pros of projectors? How bright are they?
    Thanks

I am not sure of the specifics of modern television equipment.

However, I believe the classic expenditure/results rule probably applies.

You can pick up an ok projector for about a grand, but be prepared for the light to burn out and expect to pay a few hundred for that. You'd better have some good shades in the room you'd like to use it in, unless you put it close to the wall and that will kind of defeat the purpose. It's a cool concept, but I've put mine in the basement for now and bought a big TV instead.

So projector in a 1200$ range will be less bright than any projection TV?
