Wanna kill these ads? We can help!
Nice to see them showing up although they could of been for sale all over since I haven't been looking for them. Only thing I can tell you is RIA makes some very nice inexpensive 1911s. I believe this railed version will sell very well for people looking at a 1911 for HD.
ETA: Wow, just saw that it even comes with night sights and actual checkered grips instead of the smooth slippery type they love sticking on them. Oh yea, this one is going to sell really well.
I guess the night sights and rail added $200-$250 to the price of the gun.
Gee, thanks alot. I've been wanting a railed 1911 for some ridiculous unknown reason for awhile, and had almost talked myself out of the desire. Now, that Rock Island is making one, I gotta get one. Thanks pal.
Why can't they put night sights on the Tactical version?
I wanted a full rail for a while too. But with my HD project, that desire has simmer downna. But I still want a full dust cover, similar to a Baer Monolith.
ha ha ha. Glad I could help.
Personally, I have no use for rear night sight, so it's a waste of $50-$60. I guess I can try to sell it and try to get some money back to by a solid rear sight.
Here's a member's gun from TOS:
Wow. I usually don't like the looks of a 1911 with a full rail, but that thing is sharp.
I line the full rail alot. That's a sharp pistol for sure
Well, if it had a bull barrel, I'd get one. There. I talked myself down off the railed 1911 window ledge again.
You can get a bull barrel fitted for it! There, you're back on the ledge, again.
And since it isn't checkered, maybe I can have it golfballed and hardchromed too...
Yeah, really had to get the 8-ball out for those options...
Looks good but geeze that price is a tad higher then the non rail version. Does look really good thought.
night sights and special milling of the rails added to the cost.
That is definitely a sharp lookin Rock..kinda makes me wonder why the US made ones don't look that good... Also seeing as the regular GI Rocks are going for that price here.. I can only imagine what that railed model would sell for..
I just payed right at 500 for my 1911 Tactical. I do wonder how much of the guts in that thing are STI cause it looks like it has a STI polymer trigger and I know Armscor helps build STI.
