Hmm, $15 (including parking) for the priviledge of browsing shoddy selections with surly apes behind the counter and no recourse if I get a raw deal?
Sign me UP !!!
I have to be in Louisville Sunday anyhow, so I will probably go Sunday afternoon, although I usually avoid NGD shows (too crowded, mostly). How bad are they about closing down early on Sunday (so I know how early I need to get there)? I know the show will stay open and happily take my money, but do the dealers start packing to leave early?
I don't know. I have only been hitting them on Saturdays for quite some time now.
Sundays are normally less crowded, BUT alot of dealers start leaving around noonish,
Anybody going Sunday from the Glipsc group. I need some M-1 garand clips but forgot to go back and pick them up. They were 1.00 ea. P/m me if your'e going. The show wasn't bad. Big crowd, big show.
I just got back. It was very, very crowded. Didn't see anything that I couldn't live without.
Can anyone tell me if the Glock dude from Indy or the Lone Wolf Distributors booth were there?
How did it look for reloading stuff - powder and primers?
I didn't see the guys you asked about Dom. Bren tghere were 2 or 3 booths that had reloading stuff but the prices were slightly higher than I can get it for at a few places here in Louisville
I am looking for aftermarket 9mm barrels for a Glock 17. Did you see any of those?
No, but that doesn't mean it wasn't there. It was a pretty big show.
I just don't have it in me to go to a National Gun Day show, even when I will already be in town. I'll wait for the Kenny Woods show in Lexington next weekend. It won't be big, but at least I'll be able to walk down the isles because they won't be trying to squeeze every possible dollar out of every inch of floor.
I am sure you already know, but the besyt prices I have seen is through Lonewolfdist.com for aftermarket Glock Barrels. I plan to get one of their G19 extended 2 port barrels soon. Not sure why, I think it will be COOL and the chicks will dig it!!
Also, if you missed the show on Sunday, The "Gunny" was there and signing copies of his DVD.. That is right R. Lee Ermey was at the show. The booth I worked was about 50 feet from him. I had a blast!!
Thanks for the tip. I made it to the show briefly on Sunday but I didn't see The Gunny.
My backorder of a Lone wolf standard barrel for G17 showed up in the post today. So far I am very happy with it. I took it to BIR and shot about 200 rounds this evening with no stoppages. I was impressed with the groups at 25 yards. And, most importantly, it appears to have fixed my POI problem with the stock barrel. My G17 is a fairly early 2nd Gen and it POI was 2" left of center at 15 yards. I dropped the Lone Wolf Barrel in today and replaced the slide lock lever. Now it's dead on.
I'd have gone for that. Oh well.
I saw the gunny there. My wife got an autographed picture. talked to him a bit. He's an interesting guy.
He is definitly a character. Nice guy!
