A recent purchase of a 5.11 MOAB6 GHB has got me thinking about a monocular to give me some way to scout my way thru bad areas. For now I have a old 4x20 scope thrown in the bag, but I'd like to have a monocular instead. Space has become an issue, and I don't want a larger bag. I have already spent way more than I thought on the bag/contents, so I'd like to keep the cost reasonable. Like anything else I know you get what you pay for, but I believe in putting my money where it will do me the most for the least.

I see monoculars selling for as little as $8 all the way to over $2500. Do any of the < $50 units work well enough to trust being in your GHB?

Or, should I be looking at really small binoculars?:dunno:
