Have a light LEM P30 headed my way.......hope I like it!
Anyone have one? Thoughts?
I have Light LEM V1 in P30 40, identical twin P2000 357s & P2000SK 357.
Converted my DA/SA HK45C to Light LEM.
And my DA/SA USP Tactical 45 to Match LEM Hybrid (The Ultimate LEM).
My quest for the best HK LEM trigger has produced an interesting surprise.
Some HK USP Match parts will fit in other models of HK.
Specifically the Match Hammer Spring (HS).
And Match Nickel Plated Flat Sear Spring.
I've swapped both of these springs into my P30 and P2000 guns.
The Match Flat Sear Spring gives a glassy trigger job like feel.
And the Match HS reduces the V1 4.5 lbs trigger to about 3.9 lbs.
The factory P30 V1 Light LEM is sweet.
Add the Match parts and make it sing.
light lem is nice. hybrid lem is awesome!
Yes, they're a bit strange at first, but are really nice once you get used to the trigger. A lot of very light takeup, followed by about a 4.5lb break.
I have a P30 V1 Light LEM from TGS, and have really enjoyed testing out all my new ammo loads with it.
Carries about like a G19, for me.
Most of mine are DA/SA. Couple LEM and one light LEM.
Light LEM is a sweet trigger once you get used to it. Much better in my opinion than regular LEM.
All my LEM are in USP's.
Damn it! ..........pistol has to go to HK for repair/or frame replacement.
The tab that retains the right side slide release lever is cracked. I am
concerned about it breaking completely and causing an issue. Hk
customer service is nearly sure that it can be repaired, but there is
the chance that this may not be repairable. Seller is stepping up and
assisting with this issue, he has great feedback, and states that he did
not know of this defect. Sounds as if someone at the sending FFL's shop
damaged it during disassembly.
It appears to be damage caused by someone trying to yank out the captured slide release lever. It is apparently pretty common. Unlike the P2000 series, the P30 only comes out a fraction of an inch. People seem to not get this.
Anyway, V1 is nice, but I prefer V4. My P30 is still set-up as V1 until I get the time to do the switch.
Sorry to hear about the trouble...I am hoping that H&K and perhaps the seller will be able to mak this right for you.
When it does come back home, I'm confident that you'll enjoy how it performs.
Seller is stepping up..........states it was not there, or at least he did not notice it.
Sent it off Fed Ex to HK this morning.......will know something in a few weeks
Yep, someone yanked that dadgum lever right out of its home causing the damage. Interesting to see if it can be repaired versus replaced.
I have a USPfs9 that I had HK do the Match/LEM Hybrid trigger. Also left the safety lever in place to rest my thumb. May be the best trigger set up ever!

After my first P30 with the Light LEM, I converted all my LEM guns over to the light option. It's simply the best DAO trigger system in any poly gun.
At least they are stepping up to take care of the problem. I hate getting anything home and finding out there is a problem I missed or that someone wasn't up front about. Hopefully they can fix it.
Now you should go to General Firearms Forum and start a thread and rant how someones mistake was somehow HK's fault like some other people like to do. Don't forget to gripe how HK should warranty abuse and things that aren't their fault. Heck, it works for other people.
(Last comment not directed toward you faawrenchbndr. I'm being facetious about another post elsewhere.)
I caught the humor........
The HK rep I spoke with was very helpful. My experience with the right side slide lock lever tab is that the ones I have heard about were from abuse or just an idiot months knowing how to disassemble properly. is, I did not even approach HK with a "ypu need to fix this" attitude.
Bout my first HK in the mid nineties, this will be my first CS experience. Thus far, I'd give them an A+
Anytime I've dealt with HK CS, it's been positive. They may be a little slow to respond back sometimes but what I like about them is they make sure the information they are providing is correct. They have always been friendly and helpful. That Travis guy down there is always really knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with.
He even told me they have some kind of tool in house for getting the flat spring in and out of the frame easier. He told me how to make one but I forgot. I need to call him again!
Heard from Mr. Bass at HK today. It is repaired and on the way back to me.
Seller stepped up and covered the costs........kudos to HK customer service!
So here is a pic of the repair,.........can not even tell anything has been done with it assembled.
The "anti-rattle" trick seems to be one small stipple to the plastic at 6 o'clock in the hole where the
right side slide release lever goes. Expect a post in the HK customer service page very soon.
As far as the seller, I have no reason to doubt him when he stated that he had no knowledge of this.
He stepped up and sent me funds to get it shipped and to cover costs for the repairs. I do not believe
he is a member here, but he is "og556" on M4C.com this guy is good to go!
Glad you got it fixed. And no HK thread with pics is complete without loaded mag, HK style.
I have one light (USPc) and two standard (P2000, P2000SK) pistols. They are both really nice, though I wish they could shorten up the reset a bit. Being so used to the GLOCK trigger, I will short stroke my HKs on occasion.
Tried LEM but could not really warm up to it, regardless of version, especially since I shoot striker fired guns so much. I just don't care for the extremely light take up then stacking. Much prefer a more constant pull with a surprise break like a Sig DA. Of course DA/SA is completely different anyway.
Let us know how you like it!
I have Light LEM in all my HK's , I love that trigger
