That one included a factory tour and some other ceremonious stuff. I bet this one stays south of 60.

Free tour with this one too, and some free stuff to boot!

"To commemorate this rare opportunity, the 100th Anniversary Colt Model 1911-Master Engraved Edition is specially serialized #1911COLT001 and the winning bidder will receive Colt's hand-drawn sketches, signed by each of the engravers, in a custom frame with NRA coin and lapel pin. In addition to this unique firearm auction, the future 1911COLT001 owner will also have the opportunity to tour Colt's Manufactuing Facilty in Connecticut with a Colt Executive."

WOW, that is ugly!! Why is Samuel Colt on the grip, he had nothing to do with the 1911, and been dead for close to 50 yrs. I understand its the company he started, but seems strange to me.

I must have missed that while trapped in the engraved gaze of JMB!

I'd love to own a Colt 1911 just as much as anyone....just not that one. I understand what they're getting at with but it ruins the actual "pure" beauty of the weapon.

Agreed, I'm not big on any of these anniversary 1911s.

Been watching that one too. The msrp for the 2 guns is 2295+1150= 3445! Someone is trying to pay 5550 and the freakin reserve is not even met! Wow, are those matching serial #'s worth that much? Someone has lost it. I just paid 1099 for an ANV III alone, its barely worth that.
