NRA-ILA is pleased to report that House Bill 1309 was pulled by the Maryland House Environmental Matters Committee.

HB1309, sponsored by Delegates Barbara Frush (D-21) and James Hubbard (D-23A), would have arbitrarily expanded the hunting "safety zone" from 150 yards to 300 yards from any occupied building.

This would have eliminated hunting in Howard County and severely restricted hunting in other counties.
