Another question about Word/WordPerfect document conversion

Discussion in 'Tech Talk' started by chisler, Jul 12, 2007.

  1. I hate to post another question on this topic, but it is somewhat different.

Scenario: I created a new document in Microsoft Word, to be sent via email attachment in this format per recipient's request. I stored the document on a pocket-style USB drive for this and similar future use/printing.

On computers lacking the regular Word program, this file opens up from the USB drive in whatever word processor software the computer has installed, such as Wordpad.

My question is, if I send the stored file as an email attachment from this "non-Word" computer, will it be sent as a Wordpad file (since it opens in that format) or as a Microsoft Word document as hoped?
    Thanks again
