But what's the contest? Which of my 3 finalists--one load powered by A7 and two by A9--would win the contest to be my PD-carry load. (All loads shared the Hornady 155XTP, CCI300 primer, new Starline case, OAL 1.250 - 1.255", and 5.15" LW barrel.)

Turns out that the highest-velocity loads was the most accurate--15.6g. A9. Velocity with screens centered at 10 feet was 1362FPS from 14 samples. The 'losers' had 15.4g. of A9 (= 1348FPS) and 12.4g. of A7 (= 1333FPS).

Shot seven 5-shot groups of each of the three loads over 2 days; the winner produced groups about 0.2" smaller at 10 yards.

Now I need to find some dark to shoot in to determine muzzleflash. :whistling:

Using the 10mm in the name of science. Now, that is admirable. When you're all done, just for fun you should make a video of yourself shooting watermelons.

While you are checking for muzzle flash. For fun, work up to a full charge of Blue Dot @ 1400 fps. Probably want to bring your tinted safety glasses. Freaking flame thrower.
