Yeah, the town idiot from Lexington, Kathy Stein (D), sponsored that bill.

However, it was pulled after only 48 hours in the Judiciary Committee (introduced 3-03-08, withdrawn 3-05-08).

This was put out back in March and it lasted two days. I've already talked to my rep and he basically said it was laughed out of committee. Don't burn any calories worrying about it.
I told my rep to keep us in mind for any future legislation that looks like this.

Apparently they are looking at it again according to the NRA.

  5. It makes perfect sense. Their strategy is to slowly chip away at our gun rights and make ammo so expensive that guns will be an unaffordable habit and therefore useless. Has anyone been stocking up on ammo? In KY, this proposal will just keep getting laughed out of the legislature. But in the northeast and left coast, look for it to eventually happen.
