Hey, I've checked around a few places...and I'm looking for Speer Gold Dots 124gr +p. I can't find any locally, and www.ammunitiontogo.com seems to have the best price. Problem is, they don't have 124gr + p and when they get them, they go fast...I would like 500 rounds, $245 at ATG + shipping.

Now, ATG does have some 124gr +p, but they are the 20rd boxes and they want $18.95 vs. the $24.95 for a box of 50!

So besides the obvious "wait until they get them back in stock" does anyone else have another place that has them in stock? Right now I'm using 124gr, but I only have about 20 rounds left, which doesn't leave me with enough rounds to test out the EMP tomorrow. I'll probably just be able to shoot 5 rounds, sadly. :crying:

I only have ~200 rounds of PRVI PPU FMJ to test tomorrow as well. God I need to get a press...I haven't shot in probably 4 months because I can't afford ammo after paying for the EMP.

BTW: Anyone use this stuff? Aguila

    http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=AG9FMJ124&name=Aguila+9mm+124grn+FMJ+50rd+box&groupid=46

If so, I would love to hear some feedback...and what about PMC Bronze? I REALLY hate dirty ammo...the PRVI stuff is horribly dirty. I will NOT use it again.

    Is this for a 9mm 1911?

I would avoid PMC Bronze, I got a couple boxes when there were under $10 at Cabelas and while they cycled fine in my P226 they smelled awful and were very dirty, this was at an outdoor range too.

If you care to make the drive to Tipp City, OH.... Old English Outfitters (www.oeoutfitters.com) usually has them in stock, like a 250 round bulk pack of Speer Gold Dot 9mm 124gr +P for anywhere between $100-$130. I've gotten several and am pleased with them..

Thanks, but they don't have what I'm looking for.

Yes it is, and my buddy and I ran some PMC Bronze through his Loaded and had the same results...but I figured I would ask anyway.

Thanks, I'll check it out...my unit is at WPAFB so I'm up that way all the time.

I just picked up some WWB to test out tomorrow...I've never used the stuff but I know a whole lot of people use it. My favorite is Federal American Eagle and Remington. Around here they're ~$15/box though!

I don't know how it is in Ohio, but I have had luck with local police supply stores. The one here sells 50 round boxes to anyone. From time to time, they do case and half case specials.

What about the 115+P+ GD's? They are a good SD round too. ATG has those. I'm a 124+P GD fan myself, but I've tried the 115+P+ load and it would definately get the job done.

I haven't tried the 115gr, but I would like to use the 124gr. I was actually thinking about ordering some 115gr just to run through the gun until I can get some 124gr +p. Not sure if it's actually worth it though...I'll probably just wait until they get more in stock.

ATG is $260/shipped for 500 rounds...ammoman is $275/shipped. I might just spend the extra $15 because they have them in stock right now. Has anyone dealt with them before? I don't like the website at all...and they are in NJ but won't ship within their own state? I just want to make sure it's legit. I'll probably still wait though...I hate paying more than I have to!

Thanks! Any difference in how it affects the gun, especially with an aluminum frame?

I doubt it would ever cause any harm. I doubt anyone is going to shoot enough of it to ever even where out some springs.
