“Some collectors have more than 20 guns.” lol, that quote applies to almost everyone here on GT :wow:

The AK is one type of gun I don't own because I like the AR platform better. Maybe I need to jump on the bandwagon and buy one

If the AK is good enough for Tom Mason, then it is good enough for me.

Haven't really get into the long gun yet but if I do, I won't care about where it was made. As long as it shoots well.

I like that Vlad Putin and his Commie buddies see all those guns coming into America.

I have only shot one AK- a 74. I didn't much care for it. It was heavy, Had a tendency to burst 2-4 rounds on a single pull... Or just go full auto, and all the metal on it got hotter than hell after just a few rounds. Probably just a bad experience... I'm sure a nice Russian AK would be better.

No, but I assume he's cooler than an AK. It says so on his skin.

"Despite the gun's violent history -- or perhaps because of it -- American hunters and gun enthusiasts are snapping up tens of thousands of Kalashnikov rifles and shotguns. . . . Civilian versions, sold under the brand name Saiga, rose by 50 percent last year, according to officials at the factory, known as Izhmash."

Nice of the writer to put the focus on violence. Instead I bought my Saiga because I wanted someting reliable--in case I had to use violence

i have long been fascinated with them because of their supposed ruggedness but the two i had were complete garbage. i have personally seen more than a few overseas that were questionably safe to even shoot with bent barrels and huge dents, rusted etc, but every one of them seemed to function fine. the two i had were a SAR-1 and an AMD-65. neither would run more than half a dozen rounds without crapping out.
