    Used, but flawless...
    S & W / MODEL 29-3

My buddy had it for years, but only shot 6 rounds through it. It's been in his safe, for all these years, so he decided to let it go. I hadn't planned on buying it, but he brought it to range to show it to me & said he'd take $300 for it.
Once I knew he was serious...it, of course, went to my truck!

This picture doesn't do it justice. The finish has such depth, that it actually looks wet.

** So...Is it just me...or does every new addition,
make you feel like a kid @ Christmas??? **

Can't see your pic but congrats on a great deal.

I used to have a Model 29 with a 6" barrel and liked that pistol a lot. Then I wasn't shooting it at all and some friends were getting into CAS, so I traded it in for a Ruger Vaquero and took a beating on the trade-in value the dealer gave me. I'm kind of sorry I let that M29 go, but I guess I really had no use for a second .44Mag pistol.

Someone I trust once told me to never sell a firearm and I think I should have listened to him. I think those M29s are going for twice what you paid for yours.

    I keep telling folks it's a 6"...
    (however, I guess technically, it's actually 6-1/2").

Anyone know where one could get some medallion grips @ a good price?
OR do those two phrases not go together (medallion grips --- good price)

Not really sure, but I have seen them at local gun shows and on Ebay and Gunbroker at times. I bet you could also go to the S&W Forum (http://smith-wessonforum.com/index.php) and post a thread in the WTB section. You'd have a pair in no time at all. Might be a little expensive, though, but you can find good deals.

    :)

    I decided that I agreed!
Found a set that a guy said he had removed, immediately after purchase, to put on a set of Hogues.
They definitely look LIKE NEW. Got them in an Ebay Auction for $71. Makes a big difference in the sweet look of this .44.

Just had to share a peep! :wow:

    Fun for the range!
(ESPECIALLY, with friends who have never shot much more than a 9mm or .40)

Anyone think I should locate a decent, affordable, shoulder holster...
Just to give the Harry Callahan carry a try?
